180 Kettlebell Gyms are currently located in Minnesota (franchise opportunities available). Our 2 facilities are equipped with a 14' wall mounted pull-up rig and squat racks, 1000's of lbs of kettlebells, bumper plates, barbells, medicine balls, rowers, plyo boxes and various other equipment along with two restrooms, lobby, nutrition counseling/ body comp assessment room and a kids room .
We offer a unique strength and conditioning programming using an educated method of constantly varied workouts with functional movements performed at appropriate levels of intensity and mindfulness.

But what does that mean? It means our workouts are always different [like every day of life]; they involve full-body movements [like those found in everyday life] and we perform these movements at high intensity [but always with proper technique and form; safety is #1!].
HOW DOES IT WORK?
At 180 Kettlebell Gym, you won’t find rows of ellipticals, stationary bikes and weight machines... Instead, we’ve got TRX, kettlebells, barbells and tons of wide-open space for squatting, running, jumping, climbing and lifting  — moving your body the way it’s meant to be moved. 

All our workouts are comprised of exercises that mimic movements found in day-to-day life or in casual sports. You’d never bicep curl your child to pick them up, so why would you do it in the gym? We focus on improving functional movements that are necessary and common in your daily activities.

This also means you’ll never get bored. With our constantly varied programming, it’s rare to do the same workout twice in a given year and you’ll never have to program your own workouts or spend hours in the gym either. 

Instead, our workouts are always provided, they’re scale-able to your personal fitness level, and they’re rarely longer than 45 minutes - fitting into even the busiest schedules.

Our fitness programming aims to improve your capacity in ten intuitive fitness domains: cardio-respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance and accuracy. The end result? Comprehensive physical fitness and restored vitality.

CAN I TRY OUT THE GYM BEFORE COMMITTING TO A MEMBERSHIP?
Absolutely! We offer the 21 Day Special that is perfect if you would like to come check out our facility, our trainers and programs. Your workout will be geared to those who don’t yet have kettlebell experience. 
I HAVE NEVER TRIED KETTLEBELLS BEFORE. WHERE DO I START?
We recommend that you start with a free trial class to see if you like kettlebells. If, after your trial class, you feel that kettlebells are a right for you- your next step is joining our program. Visit our Membership Options for more information.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO “SCALE” A WORKOUT?
“Scalability” is a word that you will hear frequently here at 180 Kettlebell Gyms. During each class, everyone does the same workout, but that workout will always have several scalable [or modified] options. This makes it possible for all of us – with our different body types, personal goals and levels of ability – to work alongside one another safely. We motivate one another, cheer on one another and sometimes participate in some healthy competition. But, ultimately, every workout is yours alone. Your workout = your pace.
ARE THE WORKOUTS PERFORMED IN GROUPS?
Yes! The training offered by 180 Kettlebell Gym is performed in a group setting, at pre-determined times throughout the day. Each kettlebell class offered on a particular day conducts the same Workout of the Day.  If you miss a morning class, you can pick up an evening class without missing a beat. Our classes can be modified according to the needs, strengths and weaknesses of each member. Think of kettlebells as personal training in a group atmosphere.
HOW LONG ARE THE WORKOUTS? HOW LONG IS CLASS?
Workouts are typically short – 45 minutes or less – and intense - demanding all-out physical exertion. They combine movements and are mixed into numerous combinations to form the WOD. Each hour long class consists of a warm up, trainer-led skill or strength work, the workout and cool down/mobility. 
WHY DO YOU VARY THE WORKOUTS?
CrossFit’s strength and conditioning program is defined as “constantly varied, functional movement at high intensity” with the goal of improving overall fitness. The more variety and creativity that are placed into the workouts - the more your body will develop, grow stronger and avoid hitting a plateau. Variety in exercises, sets, reps, weight, rounds, etc. is the key to developing every component of physical fitness.
WHAT ARE “FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENTS?”
Functional movements are universal motor patterns that mimic human movement in every day life. Functional movements are squats, deadlifts, pushes, pulls, lunges or rotational movements. These movements will improve the quality of life of everyone who performs them and will teach people how to move their bodies more efficiently and effectively in all life’s endeavors. From elite athletes looking to improve their performance in a particular sport to a grandmother seeking to gain strength to pick up her grandkids – functional training is the answer to improving the overall health and well being of everyone, no matter what level of fitness.
DO YOU OFFER NUTRITIONAL COACHING?
Yes, at 180 Kettlebell Gyms we offer a variety of different packages to meet our member's needs. We work with people locally and all over the country by providing nutrition coaching, supplement guidance, customized meal and exercise plans to help them achieve their goals. Nutrition is the foundation of your training and the quickest way to achieve results. We do not believe in diets. Instead, we follow a structured eating plan. We will show you how to eat balanced meals that will quickly become a part of your lifestyle. We want you to be fit and healthy so you can perform your best while training with us. Every person’s body is different. Our eating programs are personalized to your needs, body composition, daily activity level and goals.
